Delegates

Great Minds in STEM continues to be an outstanding resource to college students by helping them develop their 21st Century skills as they pursue their STEM degrees. Through the HENAAC Delegate initiative, students have the opportunity to sharpen their networking, management and leadership skills while working “behind the scenes” with GMiS staff at the HENAAC July Summit and the HENAAC Conference. As a Delegate, students assist with executing and leading varied tasks to ensure that both events are seamless to our sponsors and participants.

Great Minds in STEM offers Delegates a stipend, meals, and rooming accommodations. In working closely with GMiS, Delegates have the extended opportunity to meet and network with corporate executives and have an extended face time with corporate recruiters. Over the years, Delegates have walked away with an unforgettable learning experience and invaluable networks, that have served them well in acquiring internships and full-time employment.

In preparation for its 2013 and 2014 national conferences, Great Minds in STEM is currently recruiting college students from colleges and universities in New Orleans and the surrounding area.
