CAHSI Hackathon

      

The Hackathon, is hosted by the Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CAHSI) and is open to all college student registrants attending the GMiS Conference.  College students pursuing a degree in computer science have priority.

The Hackathon is an interactive learning event that includes many aspects of professional computer security work in a "Capture the Flag" exercise. Students work in teams to solve challenges that test their cybersecurity skills. There is a novice level and an expert level.

Participants must attend a mandatory Cybersecurity Workshops, in preparation for the Hackathon, on Thursday, September 26 from 7:30AM - 12:00PM. Failure to attend this session will disqualify participation in the competition.

The Hackathon is on Thursday, September 26 from 3:30PM - 9:00PM.

Students are encouraged to register for a four-night conference package to be present at the mandatory workshop.

Due to the popularity of this competition and limited space, ALL sign-ups are automatically placed on a waitlist. An email will be sent to you, no earlier than Wednesday, September 11, regarding your confirmed status to participate in the competition. Final teams will be determined on site.
