For over 30 years, Great Minds in STEM™ (GMiS) has honored the nation’s best and brightest Hispanic engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and technology experts. We look forward to a GREAT convention to showcase and recognize our country's technically‚Äźtalented students.

GMiS remains committed to supporting the academic and career development of our underserved and underrepresented college students. As part of this commitment, GMiS continues to move forward with its plans to host a 2020 GMiS Conference, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, from October 7 – 10, 2020.

As stay at home orders and social distancing tactics are beginning to be removed or relaxed, returning to the way of life we are accustomed to consists of a gradual process that will take time and may differ based on the state, county or city where you live.

GMiS has been and will continue to monitor the daily developments with regards to COVID-19 at the national, state, and local levels, and the impact on large gatherings and travel. GMiS is working on a conference plan that continues to support all our stakeholders – from middle school students to senior executives - via placed-based and alternate platforms, including a virtual conference. Our plan prioritizes the health and well-being of all our stakeholders’ ability to travel given time sensitive travel restrictions, school closures, delays in academic calendars, and the ability to convene large groups.

In the meantime, GMiS will continue to send conference updates. For the full conference timeline, agenda and exhibitor information, please bookmark our conference website. As we all work together through this time, thank you for your efforts and patience as GMiS strives to ensure the well-being of our community.
