Do I need to pay my registration fees when I register?

Yes, you will need to pay your registration fees when you register. Payment will be authorized and shown as paid in real time. You may pay with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Why do I need to upload my resume?

Yes, you must upload your current resume at the time of registration. Recruiters will be able to access your resume only if you uploaded it to your registration account once you have registered for the HENAAC Conference. Your resume should be a one-page PDF document and no larger than 1MB.

When will I be notified if I am a 2014 HENAAC Scholarship recipient and when will I be presented with my award?

If you are chosen as a HENAAC Scholar, you will be notified no earlier than Monday, August 11, 2014. You will be presented with your award during the Student Leadership Dinner on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

When will I be notified if I am a Technical Papers & Posters Finalist and awarded a Travel Grant as part of this competition?

You will be notified by Friday, August 15, 2014. Finalists will be provided a reimbursed airfare stipend of $300 to attend the HENAAC Conference. Additional airline costs will need to be provided by the student. In addition, finalists are responsible for paying their own registration fee. Further details will be provided upon selection. Finalists, whose travel, lodging, and registration have been arranged and fail to attend will be billed the cost of any associated travel, pre-registration, and lodging expenses. NO EXCEPTIONS.

When I arrive at the HENAAC Conference, where do I go to check-in?

All student attendees will be staying at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Student registration will take place on the 2nd Floor.

When you check in, you will receive your name badge. In addition to giving you access to conference events, you will need to present the badge to the hotel to receive your room key.

How do I get my hotel assignment?

As part of the registration process, you are responsible for listing your roommates. There is no co-habitation. Male and female rooms are separate. Each of the students in a particular room must identify each other in their separate registration process. For example Student A, in their registration, must identify Student B and Student C as their roommates. Student B, in their registration must identify Student A and Student C as their roommates. Student C, in their registration must identify Student B and Student C as their roommates.

If you do not indicate your roommates, GMiS reserves the right to randomly assign roommates.

If you registered for the 3-person room package and only two students attend the conference, those two students will be assessed the difference in the room rate. NO EXCEPTIONS, unless documented extreme medical emergencies. Therefore, it is extremely important that students coordinate their roommate plans prior to registration.
GMiS will not accommodate special requests unless for documented medical reasons.

How much is the Career & Graduate School Fair?

There is no cost to attend the Career Fair. If you are only attending the career fair, you must bring your student ID card and one copy of your resume.

If I am unable to attend the HENAAC Conference, how do I cancel my registration?

You may click unregister in your registration profile to cancel your registration. This will then prompt you to another window to answer a short survey regarding your cancellation.

Will I be able to get a refund?

Refunds, less a 10% administrative fee, will be issued upon unregistering and submitting your cancellation online via your profile. Refund requests will only be accepted until 11:59 PM PST, September 14, 2014.

Under no circumstances, except documented medical emergencies, will refunds be issued on cancelation requests received after this date.
