HENAAC Summit
2013 HENAAC Summit
July 11-12, 2013
Hyatt Regency New Orleans
The HENAAC Summit is an outstanding opportunity for HENAAC Conference sponsors to get together to select the annual award winners, finalize conference participation, meet other sponsors, and find out the latest programs taking place within the entire Great Minds in STEM™ organization.
Key activities include:
Selection Committee
Each year representatives comprised of the HENAAC conference sponsors, academicians, past award winners, and sister organizations gather to review Professional HENAAC Award nominations. The Selection Committee requires the commitment of a full day review and scoring of candidates as well as thoughtful discussion and debate. Final rankings are tallied and then presented to the Selection Committee Chair who is the Dean of the Engineering School with the HENAAC Conference Academic Host. The integrity of this process lays the foundation for the annual Professional HENAAC Awards that are presented during the HENAAC Conference.
Conference Planning Committee
The Conference Planning Committee has the opportunity to go over the HENAAC Conference
from start to finish. It is a six to eight hour meeting where operations are reviewed, questions are asked & answered. It is highly recommended that sponsors send representatives to this event to help plan for a results oriented October conference.
Special Meetings
The Summit is a good time to schedule special meetings with the Great Minds in STEM staff members. In the past large organizations such as all the divisions of the Army or Navy get together to share best practices and align common goals during the HENAAC Conference. Special meetings need to be requested at least 45 days in advance
