For the eighth year in a row, GMiS partnered with the US Department of Defense to hold a luncheon during the HENAAC Conference where we showcased the Cadet Leadership Awards. These awards recognize the outstanding undergraduate student leaders at our nation's military academies as well as students from the vast Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) across all branches of the military. Over 200 high school students who participated in the Viva Technology Program earlier in the day were invited to the luncheon. During this event, they were able to hear from the college student honorees, who shared information on their ongoing journeys to achieve a career in STEM. It was also at the luncheon where we made the announcement of the winners from the Viva Technology Program student competitions.
