HENAAC™, a non-profit organization promoting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, is creating a new overall name to the organization – Great Minds in STEM™. We are doing this to reflect the expanded role of our Education Programs and other efforts we are taking to promote STEM careers in underrepresented communities.

      HENAAC 2010 Recognition Events
      Salute to Our STEM Military Heroes
      Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
      Safeguarding our nation and advancing technological innovations are the hallmark of our armed forces. During this special event we will honor the talented STEM military professionals who have dedicated and shown their aptitude in protecting and leading the course of keeping our nation safe through STEM. Attendees will include: Flag & General Military Officers, Senior Executive Service (SES) personnel, civil servants from DoD and Homeland Securing affiliated agencies.

      Department of Defense - HENAAC Recognition Luncheon
      Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
      The DoD - HENAAC luncheon is an invitation only premiere venue in which top Hispanic military academy Cadets and ROTC university students are awarded for their academic and leadership achievements. Attendees have an opportunity to hear the inspirational stories of the students honored during this event. The Viva Technology™ program event challenge winners are also announced.

      STEM Award Winners Tribute Breakfast
      Friday, October 8, 2010 - 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
      Due to the increase in the number of corporate and government nominees we will also bestow professional awards during this breakfast. Attendees will have an opportunity to see the presentation and acceptance speeches for the following award categories: Diversity, Community Service, Most Promising Engineer Graduate and Undergraduate, Most Promising Scientist Graduate and Undergraduate and Education. In addition all of these award winners will also have their photos featured during the Friday evening Awards Show.

      Corporate Luminary Recognition Event
      Friday, October 8, 2010 - 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
      This is a special event for conference participants in which the corporate Luminaries are presented with their recognition. The Great Minds in STEM™ Board of Directors introduce and distribute all of the Luminary awards. Attendees have an opportunity to interact with and hear the inspirational accomplishments of the honorees.

      HENAAC Awards Show
      Friday, October 8, 2010 - 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
      The formal, live web-cast HENAAC Awards Show is the premiere national Hispanic STEM recognition event! This is the pinnacle conference event in which the year's top inspirational award winners are introduced and have an opportunity to address the audience of over 2,000 professional and student attendees.

      Student Leadership Dinner
      Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
      This amazing dinner closes out the HENAAC Conference and showcases the accomplishments of all the student participants. Highlights of the dinner include the top student undergraduate and graduate award winners speaking to their peers and receiving their scholarships; announcement of all HENAAC Scholars recipients; and, College Bowl 1st, 2nd and 3rd place rankings.
