The United States Patent and Trademark Office



The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will host its first National Summer Teacher Institute on Innovation, STEM, and Intellectual Property on August 10-14, 2014 in Santa Clara, California. The multi-day professional development training opportunity will help middle and high school teachers incorporate making, inventing, and intellectual property creation and protection in classroom instruction. Participants are expected to commit to implementing lessons learned in their school district to support creation of a STEM and innovation learning ecosystem. The program is open to teachers nation-wide.
