Students are encouraged to submit their abstracts and register as soon as possible for early consideration


July 31     Student Early-Bird Registration Closes


Aug 1     Student Regular Registration Opens


Aug 7     Research Poster Competition Priority Submission Deadline for consideration of a travel grant to attend GMiS Conference


Aug 14     Cadet and NROTC Nominations Deadline

NSF Early-Career Faculty Symposium Travel Grant Deadline


Aug 21     Research Posters Competition Regular Submission Deadline to be able to meet GMiS Hotel Registration deadline


Aug 28     Cancellation Deadline for a Partial Refund. (Minus a 10% administrative fee)

Individuals must cancel the registration on their own through the registration portal by 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) . GMiS will not process cancellations, so please do not contact/email the office.


Aug 31     This Is a Very Important Deadline!!

HOTEL RESERVATION CUT-OFF DEADLINE.  This is the last day to register if you want a hotel room with GMiS at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. 

After today, the only registration option will be NO HOTEL.

This is also the last day to register to take advantage of Disney Magical Express luggage service.


Sept 7     Labor Day - Holiday.  GMiS Office Closed.


Sept 16     21-Day Airfare Deadline.  Book your flights by this date to try and receive lowest possible airfare.


Sept 18     Research Posters Competition Final Submission Deadline (without Hotel option and without Travel Grant opportunity)


Sept 25     Student Registration Is Closed. Registration will re-open for onsite only registration (exclusive of hotel) on October 7.


Oct 7     On-site Registration (No Hotel) Opens.
